This page enables the administrator to revert changes made to the calendar to be reverted back to a previous day. Examples of when it might be useful are:

  • Accidentally removed somebody from the calendar, or changed their status in a way that affected their calendar entries.
  • Reverting after a mistake with applying a pattern.
  • Reverting any malicious or careless entries.
  • Can also be used to view recent changes made to your rota, even if you don't need to restore backup data.

Key Features

  • The backups made from the previous two evenings are available for the admin to view and select. The times and dates of the backups are clearly shown.
  • Work, Leave and Fixed rest days are backed up. Only future calendar entries are available for restore.
  • Ability to delete recently entered shifts to backup stage, or revert shifts that have been deleted since the selected backup.
  • The option to restore individual items, all for a person, or for the whole rota.

Reviewing Data

First you need to choose who's data you want to see, or you can select All Staff. Then you can choose between the last two backups. These are usually made in the early evening so the most recent backup may be too recent.

Restoring Specific Shifts

Rather than show the whole backup file, the data is divided into two categories:

  • Items added since this backup.
  • Items removes since this backup.
  • To restore a shift, simply click the restore link. If the person has more than one shift on the day, all will be deleted from the current file and restored from the backup,
  • To remove a current shift, click the remove link.

Restoring a Person or All Staff

You can easily restore everything for a person, or indeed all staff (remember, only the future!) After you have selected the person or All Staff, read the acknowledgement statement and click the box and then the Restore button.
