SMS Shift Reminders

The feature enables the automatic text messaging of staff with details of their following days shifts.

• The messages are sent at or after 6pm. Changes made to the rota after that time will not be sent.

IMPORTANT: Using this feature carries the risk of staff deciding not to turn up for work if they haven't, for any reason, received an SMS reminder. The website accepts no liability for ensuring that the message is received or read by the recipient.

Setting up

Switch on SMS reminders for individual staff. The easiest method is the secondary fields of the Staff List.

In the SMS Rem column, if it says Rem, that means it's switched on for this person, if it says o that means it's currently off. To turn on, click on the o. It can only be switched on if the person has a phone number for receiving SMS.

The Message

The message is not customisable. It consists of Job, location, shift start and end times. These messages are chargeable to the rota's account. You may need to purchase SMS Tokens.
